If you are considering having your teeth straightened but don't like the idea of brackets and wires, then Invisalign may be the solution for you.
Invisalign is a virtually invisible alternative to fixed braces. It consists of a series of clear, thin aligners (which look like thin transparent mouth guards) that gently and gradually move your teeth into their carefully planned positions. The aligners are removable so that you can eat and drink what you like and you are able to get full access to brush and floss your teeth. Each aligner is worn for 22 hours per day for 2 weeks then changed to the next one in the series.
There are different levels of Invisalign treatment depending on the inital arrangement of your teeth and what you want to achieve from having treatment. I am a certified provider of Invisalign Full, Invisalign Teen, Invisalign Lite and Invisalign i7 and will be able to advise you on the most appropriate option for you following your assessment.
Treatment usually requires visits to the practice every 6 to 8 weeks.
My fees for Invisalign are fully inclusive and include all aligners, including additional refinement aligners towards the end of treatment, removable retainers and one year of aftercare.
The upfront planning is the critical part of your Invisalign treatment as all of the aligners for treatment are made at once. As a specialist in orthodontics, I solely provide treatment that moves teeth (I provide no other form of dental treatment). I have the training, understanding and experience of moving teeth to plan and predict the best outcome for you as well as understanding the limitations of the Invisalign appliance. Additionally, sometimes, Invisalign is unable to move a tooth/teeth as predicted and it may be necessary to use an alternative method of moving the tooth/teeth. As I work with different types of brace systems, I am able to identify and choose the most appropriate method for doing this.
There are many clear aligner systems on the market. The Invisalign system has been in use for nearly 15 years. During this time it has been continually developed and improved following extensive laboratory-based research, clinical use and feedback from dentists and patients. To date, over 1 million patients worldwide have been treated or are in treatment with Invisalign clear aligners.
It is because of this solid foundation of years of development, use, quality of materials and support that I choose to use this system.
