I qualified as a dentist in Sheffield in 1993 and worked in General Dental Practice for 6 years. I have always had a desire to provide the best possible treatment for my patients and have continued to develop professionally through specialist training leading to; MSc in fixed and removable prosthodontics, PhD and two Specialist qualifications (MRD and FDS). I have previously been a Senior Clinical Teaching Fellow and Consultant in Restorative Dentistry at University Dental Hospital of Manchester.
I love prosthodontics and in particular removable prosthodontics (removable false teeth). I am immensely fortunate in having a great dental technicain working solely in the practice – Mr Rowan Garstang. He is a unique asset and ensures that we give our patients the teeth they desire. We have complete control over the production of the dentures that we fabricate for our patients. Rowan, formerly Chief Dental Technologist at the University Dental Hospital of Manchester, is the most talented and able dental technician I have worked with. He is fundamental to the success of the practice.
The single motivation for achieving my postgraduate dental qualifications has always been a desire to provide my patients with the best possible treatment and to give them beautiful teeth.
I am immensely proud of the practice and the work we do.
Finlay and Rowan frequently lecture on state of the art conventional and implant supported removable prosthodontics.
